Thank you for considering creating something for me! I'm echoslam on AO3, and I'm glad for this exchange and the attention it's brought to some awesome rare things.

I'm just using this letter to throw some ideas out there. Please make whatever works best for you and don't feel like you have to include what I've listed here. To receive a glorious longform fanwork for any of these canons would be amazing, and I'll be so happy to see whatever you want to make.

Mary Crawley/Anna Smith

Never thought I'd see this pairing nominated by someone who isn't me! :D :D I have been fascinated by Anna and Mary's relationship since the very first episode and always felt like these two had tons of unexplored potential.

You might argue that Anna knows Mary better than anyone. She spends the entire series and beyond in service to her and probably has the warmest view of her out of anybody save for her family and Carson. There's this great little scene at the beginning of the fourth episode where they happen to run into each other and Anna strikes up a conversation about their adventure with the dead body. At the end of it Mary goes: "Haven't you heard? I don't have a heart. Everyone knows that." And then with a smile, Anna replies "Not me, m'lady." Just !!! that sense of open, good-natured understanding between them was amazing to me. There could 100% be a dark element to that though, what with class differences issues and Mary being Mary...

I realize that this is a ship that would require a perfect storm of circumstances to actually work out in a strictly canon universe, so feel free to diverge however you need to. I'd prefer it if Anna and Bates' relationship remains amicable, but generally speaking, feel free to do whatever you want with canon love interests.

-The Remains of the Day: Downton Abbey Edition: some time in the future, Anna has a "what is my life" sort of reflection on her life in service and how much of her life revolved around Mary

-Another lady of high stature (Canon or OC are both fine) tries to poach Anna for her own household, and Mary makes her displeasure known in passive aggressive ways

-Maintaining a secret, unspoken codependent(?) relationship throughout the events of the series

-I remember it being mentioned in an interview with their actresses that the two would have basically grown up together, and it made me wonder what those early years would have looked like.

-Mary using Anna for emotional/sexual gratification with Anna being as into or not into it as you like

-Just some random things about them that I'd love to see explored: how Anna got so good at her job, rare bright spots in Mary and Edith's relationship, Anna being willing to take risks and temporarily break protocol for the sake of her beliefs, details about staff duties (no lie; I'd read many thousands of words about the care and keeping of Mary's wardrobe...)

I was super addicted to this game back in the day, and I still love the characters so much! Woon is so utterly sad, and Empress Erje is such a sweetie. And F.Slayer is basically everything I ever wanted in a playable character. Would love to see them shipped with anyone you deem fitting, player classes included (ex: Woon/M.Gunner).

Prompts:

-Erje finding happiness and/or romantic love with (character of your choice)

-Woon being a sad ball of angst and either finding solace or suffering in a relationship

-F. Slayer finally getting her revenge on the Empire (choice of subclass and all character details are up to you) Seriously, I am amazed that Vaughn Walshuted is still alive.

I was so excited to see this series in the tagset! All the intriguing Seo Hyun ships! I love the gorgeous sets and fashion in this show and how it's pure soapy kdrama turned up to 11 with a nice resolution to the main conflict. I'd just love to see Seo Hyun get more love . Everything from pure romantic fluff to exaggerated melodrama is welcome. Mentions of past Seo Hyun/Suji are totally fine.

Fandom-specific DNW: Soo Hyuk cheating on Yu Yeon with other women (him being a closeted non-heterosexual is fine)

-Narrative from the perspective of Seo Hyun, Hi Soo, or Yu Yeon. (I'm totally fine with first person POV).

-Seo Hyun hooking up with actress Hi Soo

-Yu Yeon maintaining a secret relationship with Seo Hyun while married to Soo Hyuk

-Crossover or fusion involving another chaebol or business-themed drama such as Misaeng, Start-Up, Crash Landing on You, or Search: WWW (in that one, Mother Emma's actress plays a scary mother-in-law - evil twin conspiracy plot?!) Only for if you happen to be into crossovers and like these shows as well!

-Seo Hyun getting to live her best life, becoming an art patron, hosting events at the gallery, supporting Hi Soo's acting comeback, etc.

I would not have enjoyed the series nearly as much without these two, and I just want to see them receiving love and attention from...whoever you choose (crossover ships are welcome if you're into those).

Canon-wise, I'm very interested in late and post-series (gooo Cpt. SMC era and rising star QYF), but I'm also here for all the missing scenes and AUs. I requested novel canon because it's the most comprehensive, but references to or fusions with the donghua, drama, or manhua versions of the characters would be fine by me.

Fandom specific DNW: Chen Guo's fangirling of Mucheng portrayed in a negative or creepy way, Chen Guo shipped with anyone other than Mucheng if she appears

-Captain SMC or QYF era

-Getting setting up on blind dates by teammates (whether this succeeds or fails is up to you)

-Isekai or transmigration, getting sent to the world of Glory and meeting the in-game versions of their friend

-Mo Dao Zu Shi fusion! (RIP our B.CMAY animation) Could be anything you want! (I'm way too amused that QYF and Jin Ling share a voice actor). I think MDZS is fun but I don't have any strong fannish preferences about the characters, so feel free to do whatever you'd like regarding ships, etc.

-Any kind of romantic fluff, melodrama or smut with the partner of your choice. I love every romance trope under the sun and will be thrilled to receive anything where either of these two get showered with affection.

-AU ideas: Wuxia, xianxia, webnovel authors, sports journalists, coffee or teashop, etc

Maki/Mizumori Arata

I'm just really grateful to the person who recced and nominated this because it's basically every I ever wanted in dubconny BL smut. I really did enjoy the story as much as the porn, though and it made me wish Ranmaru Zariya was into long, plotty sci fi because I would love to see so, so much more of this ship and the world they inhabit.

-Seriously, porn is optional. I would love to drown myself in slice of life cuteness/homemaking/dates between Maki and his Absolute Boyfriend.

-Hurt/Comfort with Maki working on letting go of his hangups

-I admit I have a weakness for Arata whump, but this could totally be something that is mentioned upon reflection on in a dark, guilty corner of Maki's mind
