Consumerism Weekend

Aaaand once again it's that time of year when I try to talk myself down from going all in on the gaming bundles. Though really who am I kidding by pretending that there's anything else I'd rather do, given the chance, than hole up for a season catching up on FFXIV/SWTOR/every other title I'm behind on. I know my own vices. And I've already got Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and Borderlands 3 locked in as Must Finish Next alongside some other great ones that people have mentioned.

Somehow I missed the news that Crusader Kings 2 is free to play now! That means I've definitely got to get in on making my own Winds of Winter campaign at some point. Been wanting to try it out for ages since hearing about the Game of Thrones mod and seeing how the screenshots gave me serious Heroes of Might and Magic IV flashbacks.

Also today, I was rewatching a certain drama (temporarily undisclosed for Reasons) and suddenly there was a scene that involved a magazine with the NetEase logo on the cover alongside a poster of Cavaliers-era LeBron and wow did I feel side eyed.

In other news, it is persimmon season (my favorite fruit!), and lucky me, everyone I know who has a tree is having a bumper crop and all are being very generous with their harvests. Delicious! *crunch crunch crunch*
